MH7: My transition to Morgan State University has been a journey of growth, discipline, and self-discovery. Adjusting to the HBCU environment challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and develop a stronger sense of identity and belonging. At times, balancing academics, athletics, and personal life was difficult, but those challenges helped me build resilience.
Basketball became more than just a sport—it taught me leadership, accountability, and perseverance. Through practices and games, I learned the importance of consistency and pushing through adversity. At the same time, the academic expectations pushed me to stay focused and manage my time effectively, reinforcing discipline in all areas of my life.
What stands out most is the strong sense of community. Being surrounded by people who support and uplift each other has helped me grow in confidence and purpose. Overall, my experience continues to shape me into a more resilient and driven individual, preparing me for success both on and off the court.
